Looking for an unwinding and wonderful getaway doesn’t always mean spending too much money. If you are craving to spend no-work days on an affordable but worth-a-memory trip, then you can try planning a trip to Pangasinan and see wonders you may never forget.

Our barkada had this escape to Bolinao last JUNE 2016 so it’s time for you to check this out.

I been longing to see this beach for quite some time now cause some calls it the Boracay of the North...

After seeing it myself, i agree!:-)

With no entrance fee and a minimal amount of rent for cottages, this beach is Boracay for a low cost.

Patar Beach has creamy to golden fine sands and a long stretch of shoreline good for those who wants to just sit and make sand castles or those who wants to go for a long sunny afternoon walk with loveones and for those picture crazy people like me and my friends.

The water is refreshingly cold, clear and calm during our stay. There were also small fishes swimming along with us.

Although theres this thing that bothers me, the seaweeds... lots of it on the water and the sand. (Is it really normal?)

I just hope that local resort owners will clean and get those seaweeds and throw it so that the beach front will be clean.

And tourist (us) should and must not leave our trash at the sands to preserve the beauty of the place.

Bolinao is my vacation spot since I was a kid. Now I'm an adult and I would come back every now and then to visit the White sands of Patar Beaches.

AQUINO ANCESTRAL HOUSE TARLAC CITY

Welcome to the Balé Aquino, the Aquino Ancestral House. .

Tarlac is the Aquino family’s baluarte.

This is the province where Ninoy grew to prominence as a politician. The guy was a whiz when it comes to politics; being a mayor at 22, a vice governor of the province at 27 and finally its governor at 29. His record still stands as being the youngest senator of the country at age 34.

But unlike most ancestral houses I’ve visited, and I have visited a few; I find that the Aquino’s have a more restrained approach when it comes to ornamentation. Yes there are the usual trimmings and ivy flourishes over arches but they don’t look overdone. Which is quite refreshing as the house doesn’t feel as cluttered.

With his impact to the lives of the Filipinos, I was having a hard time imagining him being other than the statesman I once saw on television; that dignified, eloquent politician everyone seemed to love. But entering the Aquino Ancestral House, my mind fancied on the fact that Ninoy was also a child once. That he once played here. Quarreled with his many siblings. And like any other kid, ran around his home’s grassy yard.

SARIAYA QUEZON

If you are coming from the North, Sariaya is the bustling town you pass by before reaching the provincial capital city of Lucena. Tayabas City lies on its northeast side, the city of Lucena on its southeast, the municipality of Candelaria, Quezon on its west, and the municipality of San Juan, Batangas on its southwest. Mount Banahaw flanks it on the north while Tayabas Bay beckons from the south side. Old ancestral mansions, centuries-old Catholic church, high-quality and safe beach resorts, and a busy marketplace are landmarks that make Sariaya a unique and memorable place to visit.

SAN JUAN BATANGAS

Located at the southeastern tip of the province of Batangas, San Juan is approximately 120 kilometers from Metro Manila and 43 kilometers from the provincial capital of Batangas City.

San Juan was just a small village formerly called Bolbok (Nabulbok). Gradually, the village grew in population as well as in economic activities and soon became town headed by gobernadorcillo or municipal mayor.

And that was according to Mr. Google of course :)

In san juan, batangas,, drinking lambanog is usually a communal thing – men sit around in a circle and tagayan will ensue. The men take turns drinking shots from a cup placed in the middle of the group. Usually, there is also someone singing and playing the guitar to add to the festivities; he takes his turn at drinking too, so the music gets more interesting as the drinking goes on. It was made an export product in 2001 and has attracted foreign markets. To attract the youth and expand its marketing possibilities, it is now marketed and sold in different flavors such as cherry, jack fruit, apple, orange, four seasons, mint, etc.

If you need a stop over before or after, going to your favourite resort in san juan, this is the place. small serving of food at reasonable price, this will allow you to try out more variety.

Malabon City

Malabon is easily a favorite among heritage conservationist. Notorious for its seasonal floods, It’s almost a miracle how its beautiful old houses has survive through the years.

Laki ako sa navotas katambing bayan ng malabon,dito ako nag high school kaya mayaman ang mga ala-ala sa akin ng bayan na ito.

kaya ng makita kung muli ang bayan ng malabon sa kris tv muli kung naalala ang mga lugar na pinuntahan nila at muli nagbalik na naman ang mga ala-ala ng lugar at bayan ito sa akin.
